WHY SUBMIT AN ARTICLE?
If you have valuable insights or expertise to share with the world, we invite you to contribute. Publishing with WHD enhances your professional visibility in a meaningful, non-commercial way. WHD provides our members with the opportunity to raise your level of sharing visibility with the power of social media on your side. As a publishing provider, we have newsletters specific to your interests and offer showcasing your expertise as an expert, an educator or an insightful influencer. Being published in any outside platform (other than your own) raises the level of your professional credence, reputation and recognition. Unlike self-promotional marketing, being published means having the support of your peers and an institution that endorses your message.
FINANCIALS, OWNERSHIP RIGHTS & PERMISSIONS
All submissions (articles, videos etc) are unpaid. We do not charge for publishing you and you are not paid to write. This relationship is about the common good and our common ground is working together to share public knowledge.
All submissions, stories and content are owned by the writer (we never take ownership of your copyrights). We protect this by inserting a disclaimer and copyright info in each submission (update in progress). We publish nothing without the express consent of the writer/contributor or interviews as to the version they accept and deem ready for publishing. Similarly, all contributors reserve the right to remove/omit their contribution(s) from our publishing platform(s) at anytime. All permissions must be submitted in writing.

WHD is dedicated to education and advocacy in women’s health. We prioritize insightful, factual, and professionally relevant content that aligns with the Women's Health Professionals Network’s mission. WHD publishes for public good. Our commitment to publishing supports the Women's Health Professionals Network's mission to offering education in women's health. We present advocacy (awareness) and insight from professionals and we respect our readers and distribution to stay within the regulations that we uphold.
ARTICLE SIZES (WORD COUNT)
If you have valuable insights or expertise to share, kindly follow our word count guide. This ensures acceptance in publishing. Word count is necessary because of the format of our newsletter and the preferred size(s) of each entry version. It is also based on its ability to be shared or accepted by other publishing streams.
CONTENT CRITERIA
We publish educational and insightful material, ensuring our readership receives clinically relevant, academically useful, and well-researched information.
Accepted Content Types:
• Health News – Innovations, technology, and advancements in healthcare (must be fact-checkable).
• Health Education – Professional insights related to your expertise or sourced from credible references.
• Op-Eds – Strong, well-argued opinions on relevant health topics (accepted selectively based on issue themes).
Our editors provide guidance to ensure your work meets our publishing standards while maximizing its impact.
PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS
• Education Over Artistry – While writing is creative, our platform prioritizes clarity and professionalism over personal expression.
• Credit to Authors – Contributors receive a byline, author credit, and a backlink to their LinkedIn or website.
• Not a Blog – WHD follows journalistic guidelines, not personal blogging styles.
• No Self-Promotion – Articles must be informative, not marketing materials.
LEGAL COMPLIANCE
• Original Work Only – Plagiarism is strictly prohibited.
• AI-Generated Content Warning – AI tools like ChatGPT may pull from copyrighted sources, posing legal risks. Ensure originality by refraining from overuse of AI.
• Image Use Rules – Only submit:
o Your own images or those licensed to you
o Licensed royalty-free stock images (e.g., 123RF.com, Shutterstock, Dreamstime, istockphoto.com)
o Unauthorized use of text or images can lead to legal consequences.
